About this event

Date:Thursday 21st

Start:Carding Mill Valley

A great opportunity to learn about the geology and history of the Long Mynd in this short 3 - 4mile walk with challenging and hilly terrain taken at a leisurely pace to focus on the geology.

Shropshire is regarded as the Geographical capital of Britain and Church Stretton is the Jewel in the crown. The Long Mynd is 600 million years old and offers an incredibly diverse range of geological features. Your leader will have much to tell you, so even though it's not a great distance, it may well take 4 hours; bring suitable refreshments/packed lunch to have during one of the stops. We will be climbing hills and walking on rocky paths, so suitable footwear is essential!

Please refer to Info Page for general notes about the walks.
